Help for people in particular social difficulties
Content of this page
Are you at risk of homelessness or already living on the streets?
Have you just been released from a closed institution and are having problems reintegrating into society?
Are you suffering from domestic violence?
Or are you in another social emergency situation that you can't get out of on your own?
The LVR provides assistance to people who are experiencing particular social difficulties. A social difficulty can be, for example, insufficient or non-existent housing, an insecure economic livelihood, violent living conditions, release from a closed institution or comparable disadvantageous circumstances.
The prerequisite is that you are in a social emergency which goes beyond the general risks of life such as illness, disability and income poverty and which can lead to social exclusion.
The LVR is responsible for these benefits if you are under 65. For people aged 65 and over, the social welfare office of the town or district in which you live is responsible.
Advice and individual support
The LVR case management services focus on advice and individual support.
LVR case management staff work closely with advice centers and other authorities. The aim is to help you through various measures to alleviate the social difficulties or, depending on the severity, to avert them altogether.
