Vocational orientation for pupils with individual support needs
Content of this page
Are you a student with a disability or individual support needs and don't yet know what you want to do after school?
The KAoA-STAR program (Kein Abschluss ohne Anschluss - Schule trifft Arbeitswelt) can help you with this. We support you in your professional orientation - in your transition from school to work.
Target group
The program is open to young people with severe disabilities and/or special educational needs in the areas of mental development, physical and motor development, hearing and communication, vision and speech and/or a medically diagnosed autism spectrum disorder.
Program procedure
Together with the young people, an individually planned and continuously supported development process of vocational orientation through to placement in training and employment is developed.
The young people are accompanied throughout the entire process by specialists from the Integration Specialist Service (IFD). They are the link between the pupils, parents or legal guardians, the school and all other agencies involved.
You can find further information on the topic of promoting apprenticeships here.
