What is support for creating a disability-friendly, barrier-reduced working environment?

Do you employ a person with a severe disability or equal status and need support in designing a disability-friendly working environment? We offer you individual advice from our Technical Advisory Service and the employees of the LVR Inclusion Office or the regional specialist office for people with disabilities in working life.

The aim is to develop a measure together with you, the severely disabled person and, if necessary, other company contact persons, in order to eliminate the disability-related restrictions in the workplace as far as possible. This can be funded by the LVR Inclusion Office or the Specialist Office for People with Disabilities in Working Life.

Where can I submit an application?

Would you like to make the workplace of a person with a severe disability accessible? You can apply to the LVR Inclusion Office for funding in accordance with § 26 SchwbAV.

What requirements must be met?

  • You have employed a person with a recognized severe disability or equal status from the employment agency for at least six months.
  • The working environment needs to be redesigned due to the disability.

Digital support

If your employees want more structure and stability in their day-to-day tasks, they can get digital support from the free InA.Coach app .

The app is designed to be inclusive and is aimed in particular at people with learning difficulties and cognitive impairments in the areas of work, home, school, household, etc.

The app makes it easy to create simple instructions for work processes. You can use pictures and text to make them colorful and motivating. Checklists, timers and a review function help.

Job coaches also benefit from the app. Together with their clients, they determine what is important for their tasks.
