Personal budget
Content of this page
Do you need support in everyday life due to your disability?
For example, in the household or in your free time?
Would you prefer to decide for yourself who works for you?
Then the personal budget could be of interest to you.
A step towards more self-determination
With a personal budget, you receive a sum of money from the LVR instead of a benefit in kind. You can then use this money to pay for the support you need.
With the personal budget, you can make more decisions yourself.
You decide who you commission to provide your individual support or when you need it.
And you choose the people yourself, commission them and pay them.
You can also combine the personal budget with a benefit in kind. You will then receive a partial budget.
For example:
Support from a provider of outpatient assisted living (BeWo service) in everyday life and from the self-chosen assistant in leisure time.
LVR case management will advise you on questions and on applying for the personal budget.
